One example of the state being an enforcer of oppression and bigotry was through the madness and senselessness of Jim Crow which was literally written in the books . In that case, the government was only enforcing a racist structure which sadly already existed and perpetuating it further.

The only way the government was convinced to stop Jim Crow was through mass civil unrest, riots, protests, and other forms of civil disruption throughout the 1950s and 1960s.

So the government wrongly actually reinforced the oppression and Jim Crow wouldn't have been possible without state backing (i.e through the police, courts, prisons, the CIA and FBI, and legislatures).

Otherwise, the racists would just have their wits, resources, and firearms, and there would have been no specific group with a monopoly on discrimination and violence (verbal and non verbal) against racial minorities.

By virtue of the state being a monopoly, only one societal group can really have it. If everyone had a monopoly on discrimination and violence, that wouldn't actually mean anything because it wouldn't been a monopoly anymore.

Without the state's monopoly on discrimination and violence, people who discriminate wouldn't be able to create laws and court rulings that create a discriminatory society.

By denying them access to positions of power that determine the rules of society for everyone, the bigots’ sphere of influence would shrink significantly. So when we abolish all hierarchies and authorities, (like from Capitalism for instance), people eho discriminate won’t have any formal avenue to enact their discriminatory bullshit on marginalized groups.

Notice how every system of oppression relates to marginalized groups, and notice how every system of oppression is executed through authority, governments, companies, etc.

If we abolish authority, no one can oppress others through formal institutions, so their sphere of influence would shrink to a local level, not a multinational one. And that's far easier to combat with self-defense.

Also, an egalitarian, stateless classless society would also involve radically changing societal attitudes so discrimination is gone full stop. We would have to change how people think on identity as well, and abolish instruments of control discriminatory people can exploit to harm others. (as mentioned elsewhere in this blog section)
